For the Guiding Spirits project, Berlin-based studio @symbioticlab_ journeyed along the Elbe River for four days, from Dresden to Hamburg, in search of stories from the people and animals along the river.
These tales have been woven into a physical logbook that includes a folding screen uniting the river’s non-human protagonists in a fictional hybrid creature, an audio piece with voices and interviews of river dwellers, and a flag created by textile artist @bettinamileta.

The project serves as a bridge between two exhibitions: Water Pressure. Designing the Future curated by Jane Whiters at the MK&G Museum in Hanburg, and theWater School. A Speculation in Four Seasons curated by Studio Makkink & Bay at the Kunstgewerbemuseum in Schloss Hubertusburg.
